As a performer, I have enjoyed fostering connections with musicians, composers, conductors, and audiences alike. During each performance, my main goal is to deliver performances that demonstrate technical precision and accuracy alongside soaring and emotion filled lyrical lines while simultaneously establishing a sense of community with collaborating musicians and listeners alike.
I have had the privilege of performing in a wide range of musical settings which include, but are not limited to, wind ensembles, orchestras, pit orchestras, brass quintets, trombone ensembles, jazz orchestras and combos, and contemporary music groups. Although each setting has different instrumentations, genres of music, group sizes, and experience levels, it has been fulfilling to come together with these musicians to create, inspire, and transform the world through the power of music.
Throughout my career, I am dedicated to refining my own skills and artistry, but also sharing my passion and experiences with others through teaching and performance. Music enriches quality of life and connects us to one another, which I feel are evident in my performances.

Educational Background and Influences
Throughout my graduate studies at Stony Brook University, I have had the privilege of studying primarily with Richard Stout of the Cleveland Orchestra and John Rojak of the American Brass Quintet. My performance experience at SBU includes participation in the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra, the graduate student brass quintet, a brass trio, and the Stony Brook Jazz Orchestra. I also regularly engage in chamber music readings with fellow graduate students, deepening my collaborative and interpretive skills.
My undergraduate education at The Hartt School was shaped profoundly by my teachers Haim Avitsur and Andrea Neumann, whose guidance and example have been instrumental in shaping my vision of what it means to be a successful and impactful trombonist. I was also inspired by the leadership of conductors including the late Glen Adsit, Maestro Edward Cumming, James E. Jackson III, Dr. Christopher Ramos, Dr. James Minnix, Ziwei Ma, and Britney Alcine.
While at Hartt, I collaborated with contemporary composers through the “Foot in the Door” new music ensemble, working alongside emerging and established composers such as Daniel Bernard Roumain, Shuying Li, Viet Cuong, Julia Wolfe, David Lang, and Michael Gordon, as well as student composers. This experience contributed to my development as a versatile musician, comfortable across classical, jazz, and electronic music spheres.
Additionally, I have been fortunate to perform in master classes led by renowned trombonists including Joseph Alessi, Janos Sutyak, Martin McCain, Justin Waller, Illan Morgenstern, Nitzan Haroz, Michael Powell, Randall Hawes, and Sarah Hatler, each of whom has further enriched my artistic journey.
